The Last Resort in Nepal is set amidst sprawling terraced slopes, suspended on a high cliff-top gorge above the wild Bhote Kosi River and surrounded by dense jungle and pristine forest. Uniquely crafted in local stone, wood, and slate, the resort has an intimate dining hall with centuries-old wood-carving where delicious home-style food is served.
Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, The Last Resort is the place to stay.
David had a vision of building a Bungy bridge on a cliff-top gorge. He shared his vision with his friend Bishnu Neopanae and together they spearheaded the project. They employed the locals for the project and thus, stone by stone and metal by metal they built the now-famous Bungy bridge.
With a shared vision of the spectacular Bungy Bridge, Bishnu did everything in his might to help shape it. Despite the challenges they faced, they brought together the manpower and successfully built the bridge connecting the villagers to main road and making lives easier for locals and providing adventures for thrill seekers.
The man with an incredible sense of humor, Pat has made every role he had in life truly his own. From being an Olympic Equestrian to being the first to descend on 3 major rivers in Myanmar to being the Managing Director of The Last Resort, he has brought along his wisdom in the field of outdoor adventure and has always been compassionate with everyone around him. Sit down with a bottle of beer with him and you will walk away with amazing stories of his adventures.
Bhuwan’s genuineness and love for the company are reflected in his work and in his team as well. From starting as a sales manager to becoming the CEO, he has immersed himself in different roles in almost 2 decades of his journey at The Last Resort.

Being part of the local community
David Allardice and Bishnu Neopanae, founders of The Last Resort, started their contribution to the area by building a bridge. This suspension bridge helped develop the area around the resort by giving the villagers easy access to the main road.
We hire most of the resort staff locally and give the necessary training to them. All of our staff members have health and accident insurance, a provident fund savings account, service charge, inflation compensation and share in the profit.
We try to operate with limited impact on the environment and work on raising awareness. We buy, as much as possible, supplies and services locally.
